Alexa Park Las Vegas: A Neil Diamond Tribute

Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” LAS VEGAS SHOW RESIDENCY keeps going strong in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in pop/rock music history.

Besides being one of the top-selling and concert drawing artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the soundtrack of our lives — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In the beginning of 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being affected by Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be kept alive for audiences throughout the world through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, often called “the best of the best”.

Ask Siri “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll get the same answer.

Like his legendary counterpart, Rob Garrett was a Brooklyn, New York native.

In the spring of 1974, his parents brought him from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first Neil Diamond concert when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts (now “PH Live”) in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him another 16 times across the country—right up until Diamond’s last American show at the LA Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a successful 15-year run in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from lead singer of a cover band to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his childhood heroes.

In 1995, Garrett was hand-picked by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a three-year success.

By August 1998, Garrett was back in Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a steady touring schedule, building a devoted fan base along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to perform to sold-out venues nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also received multiple accolades, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since Neil Diamond retired, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating Rob’s 50 years as a Las Vegas resident and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in this year, Garrett celebrates 45 years as an active Las Vegas entertainer, with the last 30 years devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has performed his show at more Las Vegas venues than any other tribute artist.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Resort Hotel Neil Diamond tribute Las Vegas residency is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
